Hydrogen is increasingly gaining ground in societies' awareness as an energy carrier of the near future. Like electromobility, it is a gradually growing megatrend, which will revolutionize not only the environment we live in, by significantly reducing harmful emissions, but above all, it will change the face of numerous sectors of the economy, through the use of hydrogen in various areas of production, transport and in the energy sector.

Poland recognizes the huge potential that lies in the development of a hydrogen economy. Since 2020, we are witnessing increasing administrative and business efforts to establish a solid basis for this branch of economic development. To address this phenomenon, the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) is pleased to invite you to the first edition of a:

The Hydrogen Industry Conference will be held simultaneously with the Trade Fair. It will consist of 8 thematic blocks, during which industry experts, representatives of business, science and Government administration will discuss issues important for the development of the hydrogen economy in Poland, Europe and the World.

A manager with many years of experience in both government administration and the private sector, but also in non-profit non-governmental organizations.

In February 2021, he was appointed the Chairman of PAIH. Before joining the Agency, as the Director of the Department of Supervised and Subordinate Units, he was in charge of entities subordinate to the Ministry of Development, Labor and Technology.

Previously, he was a member of the board of the Wa³brzych Special Economic Zone, where from 2016 he was responsible, inter alia, for investments, finances and controls, as well as cooperation with institutes of higher education and universities. Over the four years of his tenure, more than 90 companies joined the Wa³brzych zone, including such significant investors as: Mercedes-Benz, Umicore, GTHR, LS, and Hongbo Clean Energy. During this time, the expenditure incurred in the zone increased by PLN 6 billion, exceeding PLN 30 billion in total.

In the past, Krzysztof Drynda was an advisor to the Minister for the economy. He was also professionally related to the financial sector and ran his own business in this field. Moreover, for many years he has been an active member of non-governmental organizations.
Krzysztof Drynda is a graduate of the Faculty of Electronics from the Wroc³aw University of Technology and is a Master of Business Administration (MBA).

He was awarded the Silver Cross of Merit of the Republic of Poland.
Strategic Industries Manager in Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH). Lawyer, Politologist, Master of Business Administration. Over fourteen years of experience in automotive industry, including eight years at managing positions.

In his professional life responsible for the coordination of Agency activities regarding automotive industry, alternative fuels technologies, transport, opening new markets, relations with the automotive sector organisations, market analysis, and defining market niches.
Grzegorz joined PKN ORLEN in 2004, and he is currently a Director of Alternative Fuels Department. He has deep and broad experience in the oil, gas and energy production processes from an operational and optimization point of view. Grzegorz has a big experience with refinery and petrochemical integration, synergy identification between sites. Able to manage refinery and petrochemical processes with focus on margin maximization. Experienced in implementation of change and plant troubleshooting. Author of many improvement projects maximizing margin by hardware solution as well as digitalization of assets. Co-author of the Hydrogen Eagle project, one of the biggest hydrogen infrastructure project in Central Europe. Currently responsible for its implementation. He coordinates the carbon neutrality direction based on circular economy and hydrogen value chain implementation.
Grzegorz Pawelec has joined Hydrogen Europe in May 2019 as Research, Innovation and Funding Manager where he is responsible for the coordination of the Maritime Working Group, focusing on decarbonisation of shipping as well as Finance and Funding Working Group with focus on future PPP on hydrogen under the Horizon Europe framework and the ETS Innovation Fund. Currently Grzegorz is a Director of the Intelligence Department in Hydrogen Europe.

Grzegorz has 15 years of professional business consulting experience, focused on the energy market, and was involved in projects covering hydrogen and other alternative fuels, CHP, renewable energy, waste incineration, energy storage and other. He holds a MSc in Economics and Finance from Gdansk University of Technology.
Managing Director of the Polish Alternative Fuels Association. Business practitioner with many years of experience in the energy industry. Since 2012, he has been associated with the alternative fuels industry, in particular in the electricity (electromobility) and gas (gas-mobility) sectors. He worked, among others in the implementation of the largest infrastructure investments in Poland and advised companies from the fuel, automotive, financial and FMCG industries. He is a practitioner in implementing corporate communication strategies, has extensive experience in the area of media relations and public affairs. A graduate of International Relations, specializing in Foreign Trade Policy at the University of Warsaw. He also has an MBA diploma. During the doctoral dissertation in the field of economics. Author of numerous publications in the field of energy and social communication. Speaker at many debates and industry conferences.
The founder of Hynfra and Hynfra Energy Storage. An entrepreneur and strategic advisor. He specialises in promoting and researching new, green technologies. He advises management boards of companies from various sectors, including chemical, energy, waste management, ICT and pharmaceuticals. He focuses on social communication, crisis management, investor relations, and B2B, B2G, B2E areas. He is also an expert and promoter of hydrogen technologies and large-scale renewable energy solutions. He is committed to accelerating market and technological progress towards climate neutrality. Member of Hydrogen Europe, European Clean Hydrogen Alliance, co-founder and board member of the Polish association Hydrogen Poland and a lecturer at the Master of Business Administration (MBA) - Hydrogen Technologies Management at Collegium Humanum.
At the Institute of Fluid-Flow Machinery of the Polish Academy of Sciences/KEZO CB PAN, she is responsible for projects related to hydrogen transition and energy transition challenges. In 2020-2021 she chaired the Working Group Education and Awareness Building of the Hydrogen Market at the Ministry of Climate and Environment, as part of the work on the draft Polish Hydrogen Agreement. She actively participates in projects related to the creation of Hydrogen Valleys, in particular she is involved in the development of the Mazovian Hydrogen Valley, serving as Coordinator of the working group dealing with aspects of education and training towards low carbon hydrogen technologies. A member of the Hydrogen2030 Program Council. Author of many publications and popularizer of hydrogen technologies. Participant of discussion panels and moderator of international conferences on the subject. She combines the world of science and business. She is focused on commercialization of R&D projects and the possibility of their wide application in the economy. In addition, she has many years of experience as a Project Manager in managing interdisciplinary projects. She aims to use her knowledge and experience to build a modern "Digital-Hydrogen Poland".
Since 2018 involved in developing hydrogen economy. He participated in the work of the first committee of "Hydrogen Poland'' in Poland as well as abroad. He was an advisor to the board of ZEPAK and Cyfrowy Polsat for hydrogen technology and RES. He acts as a spokesperson for the Hydrogen Poland organization which brings together people and organizations which want to create the foundations of the Polish Hydrogen Economy. He is a hydrogen ambassador for the Young Mechanic Academy educational organization. He was also appointed as a hydrogen ambassador of the international HYFINDER organization. He holds the position of director for development of Hynfra Sp. z o.o. company, which is an integrator of hydrogen technologies and was nominated as an outstanding organization in the field of building awareness of hydrogen and RES technologies by the Polish Agency for Enterprise (PARP). He was also a participant in the work of four task forces working in the Ministry of Climate and Environment, which ended on October 14 signing a sectoral agreement that will be the basis for the creation of the Polish Hydrogen Law . He was also a signatory of this agreement. He participates in all major hydrogen conferences as a speaker and expert on this technology. He actively participates in building Hydrogen Poland, Polish Hydrogen Valleys.

A graduate of the Faculty of Technical Physics and Applied Mathematics of the Warsaw University of Technology. He introduced products and solutions to the market that are unique on a global scale. An expert and speaker at many international conferences. For several years he has been working on technological, regulatory and safety aspects of hydrogen technologies. He maintains close relationships with manufacturers of battery and hydrogen technologies around the world, and uses them today while carrying out Polish and European projects.
Since 2007 Ziemowit has worked in market and opinion research, cooperated with numerous public sector entities (ministries of education, culture, labour market, social policy, health and the central units of IPiSS, IBE or PARP) and private sector (pharmaceutical, construction, food and insurance banking industries). Since 2011 he has been a sociology lecturer at the School of Banking, SWPS University of Humanities and Social Sciences and the University of Wroc³aw.

Currently, since 2018, works at the Educational Research Institute, where he supports the improvement of communication between the education sector and labour market entities and institutions as part of the implementation of the Integrated Qualification System in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Province. He cooperates with public sector entities (Marshal's Office in Toruñ, Voivodeship Employment Office in Toruñ, Voivodeship Office in Bydgoszcz, Statistical Office in Bydgoszcz, Voivodeship Disability Assessment Board) and private sector entities, especially in the field of industrial production and automotive industry. Prof. Jakub Kupecki, DSc, PhD
Project manager, task leader and contractor in more than 50 projects related to hydrogen technologies. Was involved in construction of five demo systems with fuel cells and electrolyzers. Author and co-author of numerous technical reports, more than 200 publications and conference presentations, 6 patents/patent applications, mostly commercialized. Together with the team constructed systems with fuel cells and electrolyzers. Double Fulbrighter and recipient of the Bekker scholarship from NAWA. Recipient of numerous recognitions, including the Siemens and Nernst award. In December 2020 appointed by the Minister of Climate and Environment leader of a working group responsible for creating hydrogen value chain in Poland as a part of the Sectorial Hydrogen Deal. Since 2017 Visiting Professor in National Fuel Cell Research Center, University of California, Irvine in US.

Szymon Byliñski is the director of the Department of Electromobility and Hydrogen Economy at the Ministry of Climate and Environment, a graduate of the National School of Public Administration. Tadeusz Ko¶cielak is an Energy Senior Sales & Business Development Consultant located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Tadeusz is a Canadian born and educated, completed Physics at the University of Alberta. He also completed Economics at Catholic University of Lublin and lived in Poland from 1989-2011. During this time, Tadeusz worked in the field of finance as an Ministry of Privatisation., IFC World Bank, NIF XIII & III. Cezariusz Lesisz is a graduate of the Faculty of Finance and Management at the Wroclaw School of Banking. He graduated with a master's degree in Finance and Accounting and a postgraduate degree in Law for a Manager. He also studied Civil Engineering at the Wroc³aw University of Technology. Marek Sutkowski, PhD in Mechanical Engineering, graduate of the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering of the Warsaw University of Technology. He has many years of experience in the field of conventional and alternative fuels, both gaseous and liquid, as well as generating sets and cogeneration units. He participated in many innovative research and development projects, most of them financed from European funds. In the years 2006-2016 he was employed in the Power Plant Technology department of Wärtsilä. Responsible for the development of gas generating sets and cogeneration units, in particular in the area of increasing the efficiency and use of unconventional fuels. Since 2016, he has been employed at Horus-Energia and responsible for the development and implementation of innovative solutions aimed at increasing the reliability and optimization of the operation of power generating and cogeneration sets and the possibility of using a wide range of liquid and gaseous fuels, including special fuels and hydrogen.
Since 2019, an employee of the Department of Vehicle Engineering at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Wroc³aw University of Technology, where he carries out research in the field of construction and operation of motor vehicles, with particular emphasis on vehicles and internal combustion engines testing under real operation conditions. Currently, he is involved in research on the hydrogen combustion process in internal combustion engines (H2ICE). Francois Aguey-Zinsou is Professor of Chemistry at the University of Sydney, where he leads the MERLin (Materials Energy Research Laboratory in nanoscale) group - School of Chemistry and with 20 years experience, he is one of the leading experts in hydrogen technologies,advising many key stakeholders.

Francois Aguey-Zinsou is Director of the Australian Association for Hydrogen Energy, Vice-President of the Australian French Association for Research and Innovation, Co-director of the Australian-French Research Network FACES and the ARC Training Centre for Hydrogen GlobH2E, and Chief Investigator of Hy-Supply. He is also the President and CTO of H2potential.

Francois Aguey-Zinsou hold 3 master degrees, in Physics, Physical Chemistry, and Material Science. After completing his PhD in 2001 in heterogeneous catalysis under the supervision of Prof Michel Che, he worked with Prof. Paul Bernhardt on bio-electrochemistry at the University of Queensland. In 2003, he joined the research centre Helmholtz-Zentrum Hereon in Germany and worked on the development of advanced materials for hydrogen storage with Prof. Thomas Klassen. Francois Aguey-Zinsou developed several world first including hydrogen bikes and BBQ. He is co-founder and director of H2potential. H2Potential is a consulting company focused on Hydrogen. Stanley Rokicki is a graduate engineer with over 60 years of experience in the design, manufacturing and commercialization of various technologies related to advanced materials and composites. His experience includes a number of senior executive positions at large multinational corporations such as Nabisco, VP of R&D, where he was responsible for new technology development as well as the review of multi-billion dollar mergers and acquisitions.

Prior to this, Mr Rokicki was at RJ Reynolds, Kraft where he was vice president of R&D and vice president of technology development for American Machine and Foundry (AMF Company).

During 22 years of cooperation with NASA, Stanley Rokicki was involved in materials engineering. He started working at NASA as an engineer and ended as chief engineer.

Mr Rokicki is the founder and a principal of Inline Fiberglass Ltd. Inline Fiberglass (www.inlinefiberglass.com) is the largest manufacturer of fiberglass windows worldwide with global operations, licensing agreements and sales.

Since he joined Ministry of Finance he was engaged in large projects like establishing National Revenue Administration Information Centre, the reorganization and creation of the National Revenue Administration, contact center in Serbian tax administration and implementing of tax office for large business. Currently he is engaged in implementation of the Cooperative Compliance Program which is a form of cooperation with the largest entities based on trust and transparency.
Education - MA in Economics, a graduate of the Warsaw School of Economics (SGPiS) (now Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) in 1990). He wrote his master's thesis on the oil sector in Poland and the beginning of his professional career was associated with this sector, among others, he worked at the Ministry of Industry and Trade, a foreign company Castrol Poland. Then a career related to the automotive sector. Since 1996 in the authorities of the Polish Chamber of Automotive Industry, since 2007 as Vice President of the Polish Chamber of Automotive Industry. Currently works for Pilkington (the world's leading global producer of glass for the automotive and construction industries) as Business Development Director in Europe for one of its business lines, while also holding the position of Managing Director AGR, Vice President of Pilkington Automotive Poland Sp. z o.o. and General Manager of Pilkington AGR Czech.
Adam Guibourgé-Czetwertyñski is a graduate of HEC Paris and the history departments of Paris IV-Sorbonne University and Warsaw University.

In 2013, he joined the Ministry of Environment in the team of climate negotiators at the UN Climate Summit COP19 in Warsaw. Prior to that, he gained experience in finance in the private sector.

From 2015 to 2018, he headed the Environment desk at the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Poland to the European Union in Brussels, where he negotiated draft legislation in the environment and climate area in the Council's working groups. In 2018, he served as chief negotiator for the Polish Presidency of COP24 in Katowice, preparing a package of decisions implementing the Paris Agreement, the so-called Katowice Rulebook. As of 2019, he again headed the Environment desk at the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Poland to the EU.
A graduate of the Faculty of Physics and Applied Computer Science at the AGH University of Science and Technology as well as The Vienna University of Technology. Doctor of Technical Sciences with experience in both science and business. She completed her doctoral studies at the Institute of Metallurgy and Materials Science of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IMIM PAN). She started her professional career working at IMIM PAN and then at the Wroc³aw Research Centre (now PORT), where she was responsible for the business and scientific area of the X-ray diffraction laboratory. Since 2018 she has been professionally connected with Energa S.A., where she was responsible for coordination of activities in the R&D and innovation area, substantive support in the area of new energy technologies and management of the portfolio of strategic projects in the Group. Since September 2019, Director of Innovation at LOTOS Group S.A. responsible for, among others, the functioning of the innovation management system, the area of raising funds for innovation and intellectual property.
Professor of mechanics at the Wroc³aw University of Science Technology, author of 460 scientific publications cited 512 times. Number of doctoral dissertations (PhD): 12.

Scientific activity concerns such issues as: energy transformation with the use of hydrogen, high pressure composite vessels for hydrogen and methane storage, fatigue, measurement of energy and damping, methods of experimental mechanics, Smart Materials, magnetovision as new NDT, application of cross effects, energy harvesting.

He participated in the implementation of many European projects in the field of high-pressure hydrogen storage, e.g. STORHy, InGas, HyCOMP, HyCUBE, COPERNIC, HyPACTOR, HIPHONE and several domestic ones.

His current interests mainly concern the so-called green energy and raw materials transformation with the use of hydrogen technologies.
Graduate of postgraduate MBA course "Managing Hydrogen Technologies" at Collegium Humanum. An expert in hydrogen technologies. For 1.5 years he has been dealing with energy transition issues in ARP S.A. He actively participated in the works on the "Sectoral agreement on the development of hydrogen economy" and in the development of Polish hydrogen innovation ecosystem - among others he coordinated the works on the establishment of the Silesian Hydrogen Valley.

Previously, he changed the digital face of the Polish administration and state owned companies together with GovTech Poland and ARP S.A. He conducted dozens of technical dialogues for ICT projects for the public sector and SSP. For 6 years a project manager in e-commerce and "InsurTech" industry. He has experience in international trade and logistics with a particular focus on air freight. Trained as a military historian and political scientist with a specialization in public administration. Both majors he graduated from the University of Wroclaw.
PhD in technical sciences, graduate of the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering at the Warsaw University of Technology. He has over twenty years of experience in the development of technologies for the combustion of gaseous and solid fuels, especially biomass.

In 2002 - 2007 he was a Marie Curie scholarship holder and worked at technical universities in Portugal and Germany. Since 2007, he has been working at the Institute of Power Engineering. He was the manager or investigator of over twenty research projects in the field of thermal power engineering.
Paulina Brzezicka is an Innovation Finance Advisor at the European Investment Bank. She works directly with project promoters and companies on the structuring of transactions to help them access funding. She also works on the development of new European financial instruments and initiatives in high priority sectors with a focus on climate action, including topics related to hydrogen, the circular- and bio-economy.

Paulina is an experienced banker with a background in mergers and acquisitions (Bank of America Merrill Lynch), private equity (European Investment Fund equity investments team) and an economics-focused educational background from University College London, Bocconi University and Vienna University of Economics and Business.
