Mexico is Poland's third most important partner in Latin America

This year the Polish-Mexican economic relations has been particularly intensified. Eight months ago, on the occasion of the first, historical visit of the Polish President, Andrzej Duda, in Mexico, PAIH Foreign Trade Office in Mexico City  has been opened in order to strengthen bilateral relations between our countries. The Polish government selected Mexico as one of the most strategic, priority markets outside the European Union. As a fact Mexico, is currently the third most important partner of Poland in Latin America.

According to the data of the Mexican Ministry of Economy, Mexican exports of products to Poland amounted to 261 million USD in 2017, while Polish exports to Mexico reached 774 million USD.

In this short period of time, when the PAIH Foreign Trade Office is operating in Mexico, we helped over 150 Polish companies with their plans for expansion into the Mexican market in many various sectors, including the automotive, agri-food, IT, engineering, creative industries, pharmaceutical and cosmetics.

This is a clear signal that the Mexican market is attractive for Polish investors. Also in Poland there are completely structured Mexican investments, which include: Cemex, Katcom, Nemak, Grupo Industrial Saltillo and Mexichem. We hope that this number will increase in the future. Mexican investors who are still looking for the best location for their investment project in Poland, we invite to take a look on the possibilities of special economic zones. At the moment Poland has 14 separated zones with a total area of 8,000 ha.

Christmas PAIH meeting in Mexico

From 1999 to 2017, bilateral trade in both countries increased 20 times, from 50 million dollars to over 1000 million dollars. However, despite reforms and structural changes, bilateral trade between Poland and Mexico still has many opportunities to be discovered.
