Poland’s innovative companies hope to astonish Texas

SXSW is an annual conglomerate of film, interactive media, and music festivals and conferences that take place in mid-March in Austin, Texas, United States. It began in 1987, and has continued to grow in both scope and size every year.

At the festival, Poland has been trying to convince the international audience that it is a solid supporter of innovative solutions development and the Polish market could be a gateway to the region. Hence, the title of this year’s Poland’s booth is ‘Poland: Gateway to Central and Eastern Europe’. – Festival is a perfect place to share knowledge and ideas with the international tech environment. It is also a ticket to success on the global scale for many companies. We believe that participating in the SXSW will benefit the Polish firms with lucrative contracts and, consequently, Poland will be considered as a reservoir of talent – Krzysztof Senger, PAIH vice-president argues. At the festival, the Polish high tech industry has been represented by: Nuadu edu-tech company, the authors of Onstage app, PanGenerator, the authors of STKTK platform, The Farm 51 computer game developers and solar bench producer – SEEDiA.

The companies had been chosen by Startup Poland Foundation, IAM and PAIH. Moreover, the Polish booth was designed by Centrala architects. Interestingly, it was inspired by Wojciech Zamecznik’s pavilion at the International Food Fair in London, 1954. Centrala polished this project up a bit by adjusting it to the festival area, adding PanGenerator's installation and making it as sociable as possible.

The booth has been open for visitors since March 11 and will be available for them until March 14.
