The European Trade Promotion Organisations (ETPO) is an organization of pro-export European agencies (the so-called Trade Promotion Agencies). Established in 1958, the institution functions as a platform for the exchange of contacts and experience between agencies working to support international trade. The Working Group of Information Professionals (WGIP) also operates within the ETPO as a platform for the cooperation of specialists in the fields of analysis, market research, IT systems and knowledge management.
Entering into the structure of the European Trade Promotion Organisations marks a new chapter for the cooperation between the organization and PAIH. Previously, Poland was represented within the ETPO by PARP. In October 2017, PARP and PAIH jointly organized the annual ETPO conference in Warsaw. -PAIH representing Poland in the European Pro-Export organization marks another step towards the effective positioning of the institutions from the Polish Development Fund in accordance with their specializations, as outlined in the Strategy for Responsible Development - explains Tomasz Pisula.
-The first action that PAIH will take in the ETPO structure will be the presentation of a new exporter support system in Poland, which we will demonstrate in Prague at the end of April during the Working Group of Information Professionals Meeting - he adds.
The Polish Investment and Trade Agency is also a member of the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA), an international organization of Pro-investment agencies from around the world. In 2017, PAIH Vice-President Wojciech Fedko was elected as the Director of the WAIPA Steering Committee and represents the European Union countries within the association.
