PAIH opens trade office in Astana

The Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) officially launched its office in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, on June the 19th. The inauguration of the Agency’s first office in the region coincides with the start of the Polish-Kazakh Economic Forum.

PAIH has organised a mission of Polish entrepreneurs led by Deputy Entrepreneurship Minister Tadeusz Kościński. "The Polish companies taking part in the mission represent the cosmetics, food, transport and logistics sectors and will engage in B2B talks with their Kazakh partners," PAIH's deputy president, Krzysztof Senger, pointed out. Among Polish products that enjoy high demand in Kazakhstan Senger named pharmaceuticals, hygiene products and cosmetics.

The main goal of the forum is to promote Polish business as an interesting partner for Kazakh companies, establish new relationships and strengthen economic contacts with the countries of the whole Eurasian Economic Union (EUG).

The region is very interesting for the Polish business, therefore PAIH will support it more visibly “We are planning to open more offices in Central Asia, our representative office in Tashkent will soon be moving,” Krzysztof Senger said.

The Astana-based trade office has been operating for five months. According to Julia Horodecka, its head, the office have managed to reply to approx. 170 business inquiries so far.
