Poland. A Business Harbor - the Polish government’s program for enterprising Belarusians from the ICT sector is launched

For over 30 years, Poland has been building a democratic, free-market economic haven for ambitious and enterprising people. As the sixth largest economy in the European Union and a country that has recorded almost a nine fold economic growth since 1990, we know how to develop entrepreneurship and fuel the economy with a diversity of talents. Today, as a safe, business haven, Poland wants to share its success with Belarusians by inaugurating the program- Poland. A Business Harbor. Under this name there is a complementary set of services, which are based on knowledge, experience , modern standards and our close trade relations with neighbors and the world, all for the building of Belarusian’s success on the territory of the Republic of Poland.

It is important to help those who want to develop, this includes young Belarusian entrepreneurs. Reaching out to Belarusians is also our moral duty, especially At this moment in time, reaching out to Belarusians is our moral duty, says Deputy Prime Minister Jadwiga Emilewicz.

The program- Poland. A Business Harbor, is a package that consists of four-element that will make it easier for freelancers, start-ups, SMEs and large companies to relocate to the territory of the Republic of Poland without any problems. The program is being coordinated by the Ministry of Development and the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, in cooperation with GovTech Polska in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development (PARP) and Startup Hub Poland.

In this package there will be information on how to, among other things, quickly and efficiently start a business in Poland, get support in legal and visa matters in the "business concierge" formula in order to relocate employees and their families. In addition, individuals and companies from Belarus can count on having easy contact, with local governments or Special Economic Zones, which have actively participated in the preparation of an offer for relocated employees and their families, by creating temporary office and residential space. Another of the elements of the package, is support in the form of matching entrepreneurs with investors and grants for R&D activity.

Individuals with an engineering degree or experience in the IT industry will be able to take advantage of the facilitated visa procedure. In addition, several dozen companies from all over Poland, in the field of technology, have prepared special job offers for visitors, which are linked to an accelerated visa path. The list of companies is open - we invite IT companies that want to join the program to fill out the questionnaire in the link. Software Development Association Poland (SODA) and the Polish Chamber of Information Technology and Telecommunications (PIIT) are all participating in this project.

Special thanks are due to, the companies participating in the project, which have transferred traditional Polish hospitality to the digital world. Such a big response is pleasing, not only because it shows that Polish companies will always support those in need, but also because at the same time they are supporting the Polish economy, says Justyna Orłowska, the Prime Minister’s plenipotentiary for GovTech. The central information point for those interested in benefiting or joining the Program there is a special website available at gov.pl/businessharbour.
