A Polish company from the construction industry enters the Israeli market

Despite the limitations related to the pandemic, Polish companies are conquering world markets. A domestic manufacturer of specialized multifunctional ladders, has just signed a contract with an Israeli importer. The entire process was supported by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH). This cooperation has been planned for 3 years.

Drabex

The construction industry is one of the most important and diversified sectors of the Polish economy. It is the third largest factor influencing poland’s GDP. Construction is of great importance not only in our country. In Israel, it is the only sector that has not been restricted by COVID-19. The country has two lockdowns behind it - despite this, construction projects have not been stopped during the difficult time of the pandemic. The Polish producer of products for the construction industry, Drabex, benefited from this thanks to the support of the PAIH office in Tel Aviv. It signed a three-year contract with the Israeli importer.

We achieved success thanks to cooperation with a local importer for whom PAIH’s office in Tel Aviv was looking for Polish producers. The Drabex company met all the requirements set by the client. After two weeks of intense negotiations, a three-year contract was signed. The extremely quick signing of the contract was the result of PAIH's cooperation with local institutions, thanks to which we managed to develop a registration process that accelerated the certification of Polish construction industry products and opened up another sector - says Zofia Nojszewska, Manager of PAIH’s Foreign Trade Office in Tel Aviv.

P.P.H. DRABEX is a totaly Polish company, with no foreign capital. It manufactures steel and aluminum structures. The company's leading products are scaffolding, stairs, furniture and specialized ladders. It is the latter product that will hit the Israeli market.

We have many years of experience behind us. We have a modern machine park and a specialized team of workers. We are glad, that with the help of PAIH, we are gaining new markets and we can count on further help in our expansion. We see great potential in the Israeli market. Our company proves, that in a pandemic, export to new markets is possible - says Janusz Wilczek, the owner of Drabex.

- For Polish producers, for the construction industry, Israel, due to the shortages on the market, and at the same time increased demand, is an attractive direction for expansion. Importantly, due to the change in regulations, Polish products have a chance to replace international competitors products which do not have the certificates required by the new law - adds Mateusz Kamer, PAIH’S Business Development Manager in Tel Aviv.

"Made in Poland" is growing in strength

Israel is Poland's strategic partner in the Middle East region. This dynamic market is one of the most promising directions for Polish expansion. Products with the "Made in Poland" tag are getting stronger and stronger on this market, mainly due to, the quality and price. Over 50 percent of Polish exports to Israel, are agricultural and food products. The Drabex’s success shows that products for the construction industry, also represent a promising sector for Polish-Israeli cooperation.

The PAIH office in Tel Aviv supports Polish entrepreneurs in entering the Israeli market, helps in establishing contacts with business partners and distributors, as well as in the process of gaining registration and certificates, e.g. kosher.
