So far, PAIH has handled 13 projects of Korean investors who have become involved in the e-mobility sector. As many as six of them have been finalised by the Agency since 2020, i.e. after the outbreak of the Covid 19 pandemic. This is the 69th Korean investment closed by PAIH and the second one located in Skarbimierz. ANP Enertech could count on PAIH’s support from the beginning when the company became interested in the implementation of the investment In Poland.
This is another Korean investor who has recently chosen our country as the location of advanced processes in the e-mobility industry. It might have seemed that the Covid-19 pandemic will reduce the appetite of Korean companies to locate this type of business in Poland, but nothing like this has happened. Since the outbreak of the pandemic, we have brought almost as many e-mobility projects from the Republic of Korea to Poland as we closed before 2020. I am glad that we can participate in the development of the Polish e-mobility sector alongside Korean partners. I hope that other key investors will follow in their footsteps and create more jobs in such small municipalities as Skarbimierz - says Krzysztof Drynda, Chairman of PAIH’s Management Board.
- This is our first investment in Europe and we are delighted to bring new technology to Poland. This is a great opportunity for Poland to build a stronger position in Europe and become a hub for companies developing new technologies. There were several reasons why we decided to set up the first foreign production plant in Poland. The most important of these was the importance of Europe and Poland in the development of the electric vehicle market and the energy sector. We are convinced that here we will develop steadily not only in the production of CNT batteries for electric vehicles, but also in the renewable energy sector and the modern electronic display industry - said Kwangmin Lee, Chairman of ANP’s Management Board.
- Thank you all very much for your commitment to this project. I would like to thank the employees of the Wa³brzych Special Economic Zone, the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, the authorities of the province and local government officials. It is with great joy that in the year of the 25th anniversary of our zone we are starting the implementation of such a large project. We will work together for the development of the Polish economy! - said Piotr Wojtyczka, Chairman of the Wa³brzych Special Economic Zone Management Board.
The ceremonial presentation of the decision to support the investment and the transfer of the act of the sale of the land in the presence of the Chairman of ANP’s Management Board Changwoo Park, the Chairman of ANP Enertech’s Management Board Kwangmin Lee and a representative of PAIH and WSEZ took place on October 19, 2022, in the Opole branch of the Wa³brzych SEZ.
