A global chemical company opens a GBS business services center in Poland

With the Agency’s support the company chose Krakow as the location for its European hub. PAIH’s consultants actively advised the investor's representatives at the stage of location visits to the capital of Małopolska. According to Huntsman, Poland perfectly fits into the organizational culture and provides access to highly qualified employees and modern infrastructure.

Locating new service investments in Krakow perfectly illustrates the dynamic development of the modern services sector in Poland and clearly shows what a strong brand Krakow is. The city once again confirms its strong position on the map of the BSS sector, not only in the CEE region. The maturity of the sector, which translates into the availability of qualified staff and excellent university facilities are just some of the key advantages of this location - commented Marcin Fabianowicz, director of PAIH’s Investment Center.

Over the next 12-18 months, the company plans to hire about 100 specialists in accounting, loans, human resources, purchasing, automation and advanced analytics, as well as financial planning and analysis. In line with its global strategy, Huntsman also wants to invest in Poland in training programs for employees in the field of improving qualifications and acquiring industry knowledge.
