Małopolska is situated in the central-southern part of the country. In terms of the level of economic development, the voivodeship is one of the most diversified regions in Poland. Located at the crossroads of communication routes between the west (Austria, Germany) and the east (Ukraine), the north (Scandinavian countries) and the south (Slovakia, Hungary), it has unique advantages and in 2020 attracted over 15 million tourists. During this period, many new investments were made in Małopolska and the region has a large number of young people studying at Małopolska's universities. Strongly developed incl. electromechanical, chemical, biotechnological, high-tech, automotive, IT services and modern business services sectors.
