Wielkopolskie voivodeship is situated in the west-central part of Poland. Characteristic features of this region are its balanced economic development, high degree of industrialisation, high technological level and openness towards foreign markets. The Poznań International Fair that has been held in Poznań, the regional capital, for 100 years is an event that exerts considerable influence on the country’s economic level and provides the business community with an opportunity to operate on the many-million strong Eastern European market. The region is known for its motor, BPA and logistics sectors. Wielkopolska is also an agricultural region whose farms reflect European standards.
